The Souls Sad World
Your soul has it’s own dreams, thoughts, sorrows and pleasures often removed from your own. Sometimes what makes us feel good doesn’t make any sense, and what should make us happy doesn’t. I see many wealthy and famous people who are more troubled and depressed than the average person. Why? Because they’ve innocently invested their joy in a hollow, material world that leaves their soul feeling restless and defiled. When you constantly have to find new distractions and/or materialistic thrills to fill your life with joy, you insidiously dissolve your threshhold for pleasure- and once that’s gone depression sets in - and it’s virtually impossible to find your way out without the help of prescription medications, which don’t really help after awhile. If you’re feeling blue the best thing you can do is go out of your way to help another person- this releases a chemical in the brain that brings happy vibes and helps the soul find a sense of respite in a material world.
