Aristotle once said, “The soul only speaks in pictures”. This means that in order to program the unconscious, you must give it a picture- not a mantra, a repeated affirmation or a dialogue. Give your soul an image of what you want it to achieve, try and reflect on that image for a few seconds each day, and than let your “fluid magnet” (the aura) retrieve it for you. All you need to do than, is give thanks.
When things aren’t going well and you need extra support, it always helps to invoke your own spirit. Native Americans conducted elaborate ceremonies to do this, but all you really need to do is ask OUT LOUD for it to come. This technique bypasses consciousness and allows the spirit to sift deeper into conscious awareness- a place usually reserved for the ego. Whenever you thinkof it just say aloud, “Spirit, I need you here, I need you now.” You’ll feel a sense of comfort from somewhere deep within and realise the more you do it, the more connection you have to profound direction.
Every other day I get a call from some distraught person whose having “weird dreams” and waking up exhausted and shattered for the next few days. This occurs because your spirit is leaving the body (astal projecting) and going on walk-about looking for someone or something it misses. To counteract this draining activity you must Ground yourself (see free meditation) and surround yourself in a white light. Over-activity causes emotional exhaustion, can lead to a nervous breakdown and accellerates the aging process. Be sure to get control of this situation before it escalates- and never ever talk about it to other people- otherwise it will be assumed you’re mentally unstable.
Psychic ability becomes limited when it comes to seeing things for self- because this severely compromises your development. If you could see things as clearly for your self as others it would dismantle your purpose for being here. Your free will needs to be tested like anybody elses, otherwise it would be an unfair playing ground if some knew all the answers while most didn’t know a thing. One effective way to find support for self from the spirit world comes by asking your spirit helpers to send a dream to help clarify a situation. They always come through on this level if only you remember to ask in order to receive.
Psychic people always have a hard time in the material world if they don’t protect themselves. Having sensitives instruments it becomes imperative to protect these delicate webs, otherwise irritability, depression and other negative traits slip in. To counteract this, always imagiine a bubble of light all around you as much as you can. When you imagine the bubble click your fingers to enforce it, than as you go throughout your day, subtly click your fingers as often as you can. You’ll feel an immediate sense of relief.
When i was living in London, there was a well known model in LA that became obsessed with me. She constantly called and even got aggressive if i wasn’t there to pick up the phone. It was a shame because I really like her- even though I found her draining. Embarassed to talk about it with family or friends, in desperation I called a 24hour emergency hotline called, The Good Samaritans. They help people going through crisis. An elderly lady picked up the phone and I sighed internally, figuring that she’d tell me to just “work things out”, but Instead she said something that changed my life.
“What do you get out of it, dear?” she kindly asked.
”Um..well, uh, nothing really.” I mumbled down the line.
”Well, than, WHY are you in it?” she wisely said.
To this day I distill all my relationships down to that one final analysis and it has never once steered me wrong. I thank God every day for that kind stranger who put such profound perspective into my life.
Often my clients tell me that while driving, eating dinner, going to the movies their little toddlers talk about their “brudders” and “sissies” in heaven and that they can’t wait to have them come down to play with them. My clients are shocked at what comes out of the mouth of their babes and wonder how their kids could have such incredible connections at such an early age. I always try explaining that the kids today are a new leap of consciousness, a cosmic generation, and that they can perceive on a much higher level. One woman was shocked while she was talking to a friend with her four year old in the back seat. The subject of God came up and the little girl piped in, “Yeah, i’ve met him a few times when I’ve flown out of my body with grama (who died before she was born), he’s such a nice guy!”
If one has a psychic propensity, it’s a common occurence to loudly hear a spirit call out your name as you awaken from sleep. This zone between unconscious and conscious thought is a receiving station for emanations from the higher realms. Often those you’ve known and loved wish to make contact and this is their best shot at getting you to perceive their message of comfort or support- even though they usually only have enough time to shout out your name. Give thanks and be open to this little slice of heaven your conscious minds been privy to, and tell the spirit how much it meant and ask them to please do it soon again. This will open the channels of psychic sound and encorouage the spirit to contact you whenever you hit the high vibrations unconsciously generated in sleep.
Whatever psychic phenomena you experience, it’s always best not to divulge too much about your metaphysical pursuits. A wise woman once told me there are two kinds of mentalities: higher and lower. Higher mentalities can always drop down to the lower ones- but the lower ones cannot reach-up and process- let alone fathom- the higher. This explains why people can get so judgemental about psychic studies- because it’s a mindset they cannot percieve and would thus rather ignore- telling you they don’t believe in ”wierd stuff” while insisting that this world they don’t believe in actually scares them. People fear what they do not know, but trying to diagram your metapyhsical pursuits is like throwing pearls before swine- a total waste of time. Keep your beliefs to yourself, this strengthens the vibration and when you come across another kindred spirit whose on the same path then share your psychic ideas. It’ll be worth the wait. There’s no need to convert your boyfriend or your favorite aunty Joan- you will only scare them and frustrate yourself.
At this point most of you are feeling sad, lonely, depressed and bored with a life that defies comprehension. CNN conducted a national survey and were surprised to find merely 33% of the nation had had a good year. This indicates a growing restlessness in mind, body, soul that can no longer be treated by distractions, money, or selfindulgence. We live in a society that has lost its’ sense of interconnectedness, due to the fact we encourage individualty. The answer to this dilemma lies in reconnecting to that inner-voice so readily available to anyone who will stay still long enough to hear it. Once that psychic connection is made a healing takes place and peace radiates in. Take a few moments now to do one of our simple mediations and connect back to that place that you once knew as home.
